WHY BE AN AU PAIR IN AUSTRALIA?

MAIN CONDITIONS OF THE AU PAIR PROGRAMME IN AUSTRALIA:

  • Range of accepted age: 18 - 30 years old
  • Working hours: 25-30 hours per week, which may be extended or reduced as agreed upon with the host family and according to the weekly pay established.
  • Holidays and free days: the Au Pair shall have a holiday week every six months. The Au Pair must have at least one free day, always including Sundays.
  • Ticket expenses: the Au Pair will bear any expenses involved in her/his trip, unless the family are willing to pay such expenses, either in whole or in part.
  • Insurance: every foreign citizen must hire a private health insurance policy at their expense which will cover any medical treatment and hospital expenses; it is advisable that an OVHC (Overseas Visitors Health) insurance be hired. Likewise, the health insurance may also be hired with a foreign insurance company.
  • Language: it is necessary to have a basic English level.
  • Weekly pay: EUR 140-200, USD 150-215, GBP100-140

It is applicable to citizens from Belgium, Canada, Cyprus, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Ireland, Italy, Japan, South Korea, Malta, Holland, Norway, Sweden, Taiwan, and the United Kingdom.

WORKING HOLIDAY 462:

It is applicable to citizens from Argentina, Bangladesh, Chile, China, Spain, the United States, Indonesia, Malaysia, Poland, Portugal, Thailand, Turkey, Uruguay, and Vietnam.
