Hello! I´am Ma. Elizabeth
I am Elizabeth and 25 years of age from the south east asian country of the Philippines. I am the youngest in the family of 5. My Mom was a dressmaker/bridal gown maker and a businesswoman and my Dad was a Prawn bidder and a driver and my parents have a school supplies business. My eldest brother(41) is working in Singapore as a senior technician and has a family of his own here while my other brother(37) is working as a mechanical engineer in Japan. I can say that we grew up in a strict but well-bonded family and even clan(coz we're really close too with my cousins and their children). Since I am the youngest & the youngest in clan too, I was able to look after and take care of my cousins' children and of course my own nephews and neices; Especially little Thea, my Brother's youngest daughter whom I often took care of since she was 1month old til now that she's almost 2 years of age and I got to be the "Stage Aunt" to her since I was able to witness each of her milestone as a baby.
I am currently managing our family business--school supplies store. I do work there like a selling, listing low/out of stocks and ordering and picking stocks in Manila from the big distributors. I also have my own homebased business; I am a homebaker, I bake pre-ordered cakes or sell them by big batch. I'm currently not on the work force(corporate job) at the moment. I'm a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Information Technology and I had an internship as an IT-Helpdesk support which is more on the computer hardware stuff and troubleshooting. I also worked as an Associate Software Engineer or in layman's term, a programmer but I decided to quit and handle my eldest brother's internet cafe as a manager/technician since my niece was starting on her elementary school back then and my sis-in-law wanted to have enough time for her children. I also did a tutorial job whilst on the internet cafe for half a year with a 6 year old girl(1st grader) and review her lessons from school every afternoon.
I am dreaming of becoming a flight attendant so I enrolled in short course in a flight attendant school for 2 months. I wanted to see the world while working and giving my service, taking care of people's convenience and assuring safety in the skies. But it seems like my wing is still untamed; I'm still chasing for it, though. I am a person who is open-minded and loves to travel, know cultures and put herself into an adventure. I love to wander and explore a place that is new to me and see its beauty. I like hiking to see the the beauty of the place on top of the mountain, being on the sea to see the world beneath us. I liked surfing too coz it reminds me that it's okay to fall, try to stand up again and dance with uncertainties. I like venturing in new activities instead of regretting of not doing it.
While at home, I do household chores since I am living in a separate house from my parents(tho it's our family house) so I have to do the chores independently like cleaning, cooking, doing laundry and dishes, rearranging the furnitures, etc. I'm a bit OC when it comes to organizing and cleanliness.
I am currently self- studying the dutch language thru the app called "Duolingo" and that's the reason why I know some basic dutch words and want improve it but I am open to learn any new language as well.
I am looking forward that you could help me shape into a better individual and a better citizen of this world. I wish to have an open-minded family who would treat me like their own(or close to that) as I treat them like they're mine too! I would be pleased to provide care for the children or even fur babies too and be your eye, heart and hand while you're not at home. I know it's hard to work 9 to 5 when you have kids but even though I would be there for the children, I am still wishing for the parents not to forget to bond with their own kids too cause no matter how much I would shower them love, at the end of the day, they would still look for the love that comes from you. Being family oriented is important to me since our culture taught me how to be. I hope I could share with you our culture and instill good filipino values to the kids especially when it comes to respecting their parents as they grow up.
After the program, I know whichever path or industry I land into I'm already at my best self from the au pair experience. If ever I go back to IT industry, the new language would be an advantage. I'd also like to continue my baking business and hopefully, I could add some cake and pastry local to my host country. And lastly, This would be helpful when I applied again to the cabin crew job, I mean the service, how I treat & handle people from different culture, new language, and the differences in between. This program would be really helpful in fulfilling my dream of becoming a flight attendant. But for now, as I can't render my service yet at the skies, let me render it there at your place first and let's enjoy this journey together.
I would be pleased to be contacted if ever you got interested/ want to know more about my background and for further interviews and negotiation.
Thank you so much!
