What is the Demi Au Pair programme?

Nowadays one of the most requested programmes by families all over the world is the Demi Au Pair, since it allows the family to obtain the help of a foreign student with the children and to improve the desired language.

The Demi Au Pair programme has the same general conditions of a regular Au Pair programme. The Au Pair will live with the family, having at his/her disposal a private bedroom and full board and the same rights and obligations of an Aupair but s-/he will work maximum 15 hours per week and won’t usually receive pocket money or will receive a smaller amount of it.

The ideal participants in the Au Pair programme are students who will live at least for a semester in a city and will attend a university or a language course or workers, like the language assistants, since the small amount of Au Pair hours allows them to combine the programme with their studies or their jobs.

In order to participate in this programme as hosting family, it is necessary a great flexibility since you will need to respect the hours in which the Au Pair has to go to the university, language classes or work.

Overall, this programme offers great advantages to its participants, both Au Pairs and Families:

  • The family will count with the help of a foreign student or a language assistant in taking care of the children for 3 hours a day.
  • The Au Pair participant will have the possibility to live an academic year at a reduced cost since board and accommodation are included in the programme.
  • Both will participate in a cultural exchange with advantages for both parties and a familiar environment.

What are you waiting for? Subscribe as a Demi Au Pair or family, the academic year is just around the corner!
