My name is Ryan . I am from Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. I am 19 years old, and I will be turning 20 in early September.
I have had my driver's license for several years, and I do know how to drive a manual transmission.
My native language is English, and I have a basic knowledge of French. In July, I took a four week long intensive french course at Université de Montréal.
I also have been working on learning a little bit of Dutch over the past few months.
I am very excited at the opportunity to spend time as an au pair in Belgium.
I have always enjoyed working with children, as well as teaching. I started babysitting when I was 13 years old, and I loved every moment of it (even the difficult ones).
At the Halifax Music Co-op I have spent a large amount of time helping out with "Zero Squad Academy", a children's rock ensemble. It feels great to be able to share my love of music with the children who are having a great time rocking out.
I have done a lot of peer-tutoring at my school as well. I find the challenge of explaining information in new and creative ways to be very interesting.
