Hello! I´am Aranza
Dear future host family:
I am a very passionate girl full with dreams and looking forward to live new experiences and become part of your family. I have been working with kids for almost 4 years and I really would love to keep doing that in the future before I plan to start with university.
I'm a social, reliable, patient and active person. I'm currently working as an English Teacher with preschoolers. I was an Au Pair in Boston, USA since August 2016, and went back home on September 2017, I successfully ended the program with the same host family. I took care of three amazing and energetic 3, 5 and 7 years old boys. I also did some extra babysitting with another family in the US, the girl is 10 and the boy is 12. In Mexico I live with my parents, Ricardo and Patricia, and my younger sister, Mariana. My brother, Andrés, lives in the city of Guadalajara. We have a dog, it's a Pug named Roxy, we all love her so much. In my house it's my duty to clean the kitchen and wash the dishes every weekend. When it's needed I clean my whole room, I sweep and mop the floor, make my bed and pick my stuff up. Somtimes, I have to cook for me and my sister, mostly typical Mexican food. In the USA I took care of all my stuff, of course.
I started practicing driving on 2014. I've been driving by my self and my own car since april of 2015. I have never been in a car accident. As an Au Pair in the US I drove the boys mostly to all their appointments. school and fun playdates.
My two passions are acting and aerial dance. I took an Acting Shakespeare course at Harvard University during my stay in the US, it was one of the best experiences I had there. I'm very interested in universal history, but british history is my favourite. Music is one of the most important things in life for me. Rock music, from 60's classic rock to nowadays indie rock in particular. Lately I've been really into Classical Music, but I'm not an expert, I just enjoy it very much. I also love to read and know about facts, stories and some other things related to the music scene. Same with cinema, I really love to watch movies and TVseries. I love to read, as well. I also like going out with my friends or for a walk.
I think I have great connection with kids, I can feel how good they feel with me, and that is very special. We have very good times together, and I appreciate that very much. I also think that my age it's a good factor, because kids see me more as their big sister, but at the same time as who they have to obey and who is responsible for them while their parents are not around, and not as just the nanny or another frightening authority figure. That helps me in getting a better relationship and communication with them, because they feel good and free to tell me anything, things that they are worrying about and things that they have thought, etc, so I can help and guide them. They trust me and that's invaluable. In Mexico I used to babysit a boy, 8, and a girl, 6, which was something I loved. I used to babysit my baby cousins, as well. Also, working with kids between the years on 1 to 8 in a kindergarten, and being surrounded by them daily has hepled me to know how to treat every age, what they care about and what they should know. There's detailed information about this on my references. I'm completely aware that raising children implies a lot of responsibility, because you have to take care and protect of their mental, physical and emotional integrity. Raising a child is to form up the adult of tomorrow, and this world needs more good people with values and a good moral, and I would love to help my host family with that. What I want to accomplish during my time as an au pair is, first of all, to earn the love and affection of the kids but also of the host family. I hope we'll have a great time together.
Since I have been an Au Pair, I know exactly how it feels and what it is to be away from home and live in somebody else's house, that's why it is really important for me that the whole family is willing to truly treat me like part of it. Being nice is not enough, in my point of view, for this kind of job. To be willing to be friends with the Au Pair is the key.
I want to live new and different experiences. I want to meet new people and make good friends. Go to new places which cultures are different than mine would be amazing. Also, making my biggest dream of visiting The British Islands would be wonderful. I'm also looking forward to learn french, I'm working on it here in Mexico but there's nothing like living somewhere it is spoken to truly get immerse in the language. I love being surrounded by kids. I fell in love with my last Au Pair experience and I think doing it in a completely different culture would be verry enriching.
